Murlo is a little village in the middle of a rural area. It is developed around its castle inside the walls. Its territory was inhabited by Etruscan people as we can see in the Archaeological Museum. The road that leads to Murlo is spectacular; upon every hill there is a church, a castle or a “podere”, the ancient house of the peasantry.
Wheat, corn and sunflowers are grown in the surrounding fields. Vineyards and olive groves are everywhere. We frequently meet wild boars, pheasants and roes that look at us curiously.
